Death Valley trip
Presidents weekend we did our annual migration to Death Valley. The weather was great. We did three days of runs in and out of canyons near Panamint Valley. Some fellow travelers wanted to see the U2 Joshua tree. I thought I knew where it was located because I had been there twice. But the desert area all looks the same after awhile. After an hour of searching we finally found it again and posed with a few momentos left by previous visitors.

Dontcha get tired of seeing that dead tree? *wink wink* Looks like fun to me! :)
Hope we didn't bore you. Adam and April are probably thinking of their yester-years and bloody Sundays when they see this. (We sent April a scrap of the tree a few years ago). We were in the vicinity and those in our group requested to see it. We are probably only 1/10 of 1% of those who have looked for the site who can say, I've found what I'm looking for. It's kind fun taking uninitiate folks there. They can't believe this stuff is way out in the boondocks. And you have to be right on top of it to realize it is there. You have to walk over 1/4 mile from the paved road to find the place. Nothing is visible until within 50 feet of the site.
nice refrencing of U2 lyrics (i don't think i spelled that correctly). looks like a beautiful day to get lost! (notice my refrence?)
I doubt if any of the Streets have a name where you went, that would have made it much easier.- Adam
You have to wake up a dead man to get directions.
